Dag Iederen.
Sorry maar mijn Nederlands is nog slechter dan mijn Engels, dus, om zeker te zijn dat mijn vraag duidelijk genoeg is zou ik Engels gebruiken.
To start, i'm Mexiccan and therefore my bad flamish. Now, my question. I studied architecture in Mexico, but the difeference between mexican construction systems and the Belgian ones is like going from the moon to Pluto and to come back.
At the moment i'm following a course related to construction here and as part of it i have to fully develop a project, from the design untill the selection of a systeem and it's materials. I have always being intersted in ecological architecture, so, i decide to go for a "houtskeletbouw", because also wood fascinates me.
I have a chimeny on a corner of the living (which by the way has a double hight) and it come out on a flat green roof where it becomes a bbq.
My question is, how should i isolatie the draft? I mean, wood is succeptible to fire. Am i obligated to build the inside of the draft in stone? I really will like to keep the biulding 100% in wood. For being honest my teacher hadn't being not much of a help, because i get very vague answers from them, i can undesrtand, we as students should take our research seriously, but i just can not find answers i can fully understan (language problems). Could some one give me some light about the matter?
To round my question, i know rockwol could be an option but, again, how should i fix it, between the "i liggers"? on a second layer on top of the unilin which encapsules the isolation material between the "i liggers"? and then, on bring on top of that a layer of hard plates resistant to fire (which plates that could be?)?
Is there a more ecological solution than rockwel?
I'll be very please if someone here could help me because my dead line to hand my work is starting to seriously show sympotms of dead =).
Thanks a lot
Victor
